John Johnston is an amazing photographer and his ability to capture the emotion and real essence of our wedding was stunning. On the day, John was very professional and we really enjoyed working with him. We found him to be very friendly and open to our requests, and those of our guests for photos.
At no point during the day did we feel pressured into posing for photos, and the fantastic results can only be the result of true skill. John stayed late into the evening to capture the festivities, and these made for a real entertaining section in our wedding album! The turnaround time for John to complete his photo processing was incredibly quick, and we had a received a few sample images just days after the wedding to wet our apatite!
The storybook wedding album we purchased from John was of superb quality, and our families treasured the smaller versions. We will definitely be keeping in contact with John and plan to hire him for future events, including photographing our first child due later this year.

Johns devotion and dedication to photography is outstanding. We chose John to photograph our wedding day after he made the effort to come to our house and asked how we wanted the photo’s to look. This took us by surprise as other photographers we had spoken to were to busy telling us how they would take the photo’s.
We married at the Piping Centre in Glasgow which John also visited before our wedding to see where he could get the best shots from.
John has a modern, inventive and imaginative approach to getting the right shot. Half the time you won’t even realise John’s taking a photo but the end results are simply stunning. The day after our wedding John had created an 8 minute well produced and polished slide show of the day and within the week we had two DVDs of photographs and videos in a case designed with images from our big day.

We were absolutely delighted with our photos and the service John provided. John is very professional and dedicated a lot of time to Colin and I. His visits before the wedding helped us to get to know him and have confidence in him.
I was certain of what I wanted and made that clear to John. He definitely took my thoughts into account but also told me he would be snapping throughout the day and to my surprise the things I said I didn’t want are the things I liked the best! Have faith in John he knows what he is talking about! John has recorded our wedding beautifully, I couldn’t have asked for better pictures and all my friends and family loved the slideshow he created for us.
It has been passed around hundreds of people now as it is just brilliant! John said that if we gave him time, he would deliver amazing pictures and he did. I strongly recommend taking John’s advice to go back out after your meal for some shots in the fading light. Those are our favourite pictures! John Johnston was eveything and more than we could have asked for as a photographer. On the day he was punctual, professional, very friendly, relaxed and above all made us both feel very much at ease.
We looked at alot of other photographers websites, but as soon as we came across John Johnston Photography we knew that was the one for us and he didn’t let us down. Within days of us returning from our honeymoon he had all the photgraphs ready for us, something which I didn’t expect, and we were so delighted with the results.

John was my photographer for my wedding covering from the morning at our home, right through to the first dance evening reception. From the moment he turned up, till the moment he left, the quality of service was fantastic.
Me and my groomsmen were completely comfortable as john was so friendly, and his guidance for posed and natural shots lead to some amazing photography that my bride was beyond happy.
At times when we were busy, john would simply get on with the job at hand capturing superb images without us even noticing he was there. It really was such a great atmosphere that john played a huge part in creating.
