Hybrid Academy of Martial Arts – Ceremony night – Waxy O’connors Glasgow

Tonight was the awards night for Hybrid Academy of Martials Arts in Glasgow’s Waxy O’connors.
Students of George & Mandy Johnston ( George, being my brother and Mandy, my sister in law ) all recieved their certificates and he asked me to pop along to get some shots of it. £400 for 2 hours work is not too bad eh

From time to time i shoot some Theatre photography. Here are some production shots for a show that was running in the Tron Theatre in Glasgow.

St Andrews Trust – Ladies Night – Radisson Hotel Glasgow

The St Andrews Trust was set up in 2005 as a result of a well publicised meeting of world leaders at Gleneagles where the motto Make Poverty History was on everyone’s lips, do you remember the likes of Bono, George Clooney and Annie Lennox to name but a few clicking their fingers?

The ladies event was at the Radisson hotel in Glasgow. featuring a fashion show and a dance act from the flying Jalepeno’s as well as prizes and raffles on the day. The whole day raised over £11,000 for the St Andrews Trust
The host on the day was DJ Adrian Coll of Clyde Radio and guest speaker was Linda MacDonald from the charity, MUMS Recipe’s

Totally Rad – Dirty Pictures – New Software

Before i start, yes that is the name of the software – Dirty Pictures.

So i got myself some new software for Photoshop from the Totally Rad guys.
And no, thats not my new lingo, thats the name of the website Totally Rad

Basically what it does is allow you to add textures over the top of your digital images to add that extra bit of WOW factor. This certainly isnt a new thing and has being going around for years, even before the digital age when you used to develop your film. This program simply allows you to do it quickly and easily in Photoshop.

Done in moderation ( Key word here ) it can turn a good image into a very good image IMO ( albeit it, a little different), giving the image a more arty ( is that even a word ) feel to it.

Ok, so i havent blogged anything in almost a week and it feels wrong. Truth be told, i havent actually shot anything in a week, hence the reason why nothing has been blogged.
Been busy with designing wedding albums and having meetings with other clients.

So i thought i would post up some more from PJ’s shoot a few weeks ago. Got an email from PJ a few days ago and he’s wanting to head out for another portrait session soon ( that will be his 3rd time out, must be doing something right ), this time i think we will try out somewhere down in Loch lomond. Dont worry my fine blog viewers, i will post them up.

Can i also just say thanks to everyone who actually follows me on here and reads what i have to say. Since starting this blog ive been getting so so many viewers everyday and it makes it all so much better.

Glasgownights – PJ ( Shoot 2 )

This is the second time we have shot PJ. We wanted to go for something different this time. A more relaxed casual shoot as PJ called it. As it was a great sunny night we wanted to make use of that.
I think you will agree they are certainly different from our previous shoot with him – here
