Last week saw me at Glasgows Club 29 to photograph some promotional work for Diamond Studio’s new range of Bhoy’s collection, Celtic FC’s new jewellery range.

Celtic’s Joe Ledley and Adam Matthews were there along with model, Rachel McKay to help model them.

Dolly skater for DSLR.

Picked myself up a little skater / dolly product for my cameras. I already own the glidetrack but i figured since this wasnt so expensive i’d pick it up.

The only downside is it can only be used on smooth surfaces but the upside is its so small compared to the glidetrack and your dolly shots can go on for as long as there is a smooth surface

Plus the wheels can be turned so you have many options with this little thing.

Below is just a little test but i can see this being useful in a lot of situations.
You gotta love the introduction of amazing HD video in these little cameras.

The Artemis album – Glasgow wedding photography

The Artemis album comes as part of package A.
The Artemis album comes with 30 pages and is 10″ x 10″ ( 10″ x 20″ when fully opened ) in size.
The front cover comes with etching, were your names and wedding venue can be added as well as an image.

Below are some photos of the album. Ive also included a small video slideshow of all my sample products after the images. I’d recommend having a look at that too.

New to my wedding packages is the padded dvd presentation cases. These cases come as standard with all my wedding packages and house 2 dvds inside. One for your dvd slideshow and the other, all your wedding images taken on the day.
The great thing about these new dvd presentaion cases is they match the albums. So if you decide to go for one of my packages that include a wedding album, these cases are designed to match your unique album.

The parent albums are an optional purchase with the Bellissimo album. These albums are exact replicas of the main Bellissimo album only smaller, complete with etching on the front with your names and wedding date/venue.
Great to give out to parents as gifts.

Gallery Wrap 36″ x 24″

I recently got a large Gallery Wrap of one of my favourite images from my Japan trip last year to hang on my wall.

Right away i could see the quality of this thing. The gallery wraps come in various sizes and its something im going to offer to clients. An image from a kids/baby photoshoot or an image of your favourite wedding image would look ideal on this.

The image is printed on photographic paper and sealed with a satin laminate before being wrapped around a 2″ deep wooden frame. They also come all ready to hang complete with hangers on the back.

I took some images below of my frame. Im well pleased with it

And one hanging on the wall.

Having just finished a product shoot through in Cumbernauld last week ( which i’ll be blogging soon ) i thought id try out a wee personal project with the new light tent that i purchased.
Some may be wondering what a light tent is? See Here

Below are a few shots i took of a watch i had lying around the house. The reason i wanted to try this particular product is how reflective it is. One of the hardest parts of shooting anything reflective like this is trying to minimize the amount of reflection you get from your lights whilst photographing it.

Ive shown 2 examples. The first example i have both lights shooting towards the watch. Doing this you can see a lot of reflections on the watch coming from the lights.
The second example i moved the lights almost behind the watch ( as shown in the first pullback shot ) to try and minimize the reflections around the edges of the watch. Both producing 2 completely different shots IMO.
Another thing you really try to do is minimize shadow. Although personally, i like to show a little shadow beneath the product to show its not actually floating. Again, a personal choice

Ive also posted some pull back shots to show any ( geeks like me ) photographers my set up.
Gear used was :

Canon 5D Mark II triggered by Pocket Wizard Mini TT1 and 2 Flex TT5′s on Canon 580ex flashes.
Canon 100mm Macro Lens.
